Is there ever! In addition to the materials outlined above, there is also a very impressive section on dog whispering. which is a method of dog training based on a philosophy of clear communication and mutual respect. It has been popularized in recent years by Cesar Millan ("The Dog Whisperer"). This is becoming increasingly acknowledged as an alternative and humane method, for disciplining and training your dog. Sit Stay Fetch has dedicated an entire section to dog whispering: Daniel Stevens explains the background of the technique, how to utilize voice and body language to the best advantage, and how to use the technique to calmly, assertively, and effectively correct and train your dog. Step by step instructions are included for common commands (sit, down, come, stay, quiet, etc).

It makes for excellent reading. After trying out the basics on my own headstrong dog, I was amazed at how effective these techniques are. Highly recommended!

Is there what. I am sure you will agree, it's great to get something for nothing. And, although my relentless curiosity may have led me into less-than-productive purchases in the past, in this particular case, I can report that Sit Stay Fetch is the leader of the pack, as they say. The freebies included with this book are numerous and useful.That says it all really!

I was surprised that the book costs only $37. For this price, you get: a complete and detailed manual on training your dog, preventing and handling behavioral problems along with many general-knowledge tips and advice.

My Overall Assessment

An incredible package and absolutely value for money! As I said, having owned dogs on and off during my life, I would have thought that I was better-prepared than most to handle the idiosyncrasies of my canine friends.

But since reading this book, I think that before Sit Stay Fetch I was (regretfully), perhaps a trifle more complacent than knowledgeable. I have learned more since reading this manual than in a near-lifetime worth of contact with dogs (do you know how to stop your dog from tugging on the leash, without using a check-chain? Well, now I do but until I got my hands on a copy of this book, I certainly did not!)

Most of the training techniques provide a unique common-sense, realistic approach to dog training, others require a little more effort (e.g. dog whispering) but have dramatic results. I More than one training technique is discussed and that allows the reader flexibility in the selection of techniques that are best suited to themselves and their individual dogs.

I have no reservation in recommending this package to anyone who owns, or is thinking about owning, a dog. You don't need to have a "problem pet" for the manual to be of help. The information included is useful for all dog owners.
